GUNNER SAID AMEN!!!

Two nights ago, Joe and I went to put Gunner to bed.  Our nightly ritual....Bath....Pick up toys....Find FROG (must have Frog to go night night)....then off to his room to say our prayers.
As always we began..."Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep. And if I die before I wake, I pray the Lord, my soul to take!!!"
THEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   Gunner said AMEN!!!! 
He said it clear as day.  Joe and I both in amazement realized we are teaching our son something amazing!  We are teaching him to never take God's Promises for granted and to talk to him each and everyday!  He is still so young and we have so much to teach him along the way, but teaching him about God and giving him a strong Faith to stand on is one of the most important to us!  I love that one of his words in his little vocabulary of Car, Truck, Deer, Aw Man.....is AMEN!!!

Sleepless Nights! A Blessing?

In college, sleepless nights held a much different meaning than they do to me today.  Sleepless nights then meant staying up late with my best of friends having a blast, BUT last night was one of those "Mommy" sleepless nights you just want to sleep but two sweet angels are totally against that!  As I wake up this morning, I pray to God and say THANK YOU!  Those moments when they can't sleep or cry to just be held are so tough, BUT THANK YOU for giving me two healthy children that I get to hold everyday....THANK YOU for giving me those few extra moments in my day next to them.....THANK YOU for providing LOVE to our family so that they want their Mommy to snuggle next to them....
These things are the reason the SLEEPLESS NIGHTS are a TRUE BLESSING to me!

On February 7, 2011, I was blessed with my sweet little princess.  I can't believe she is almost 3 months old now!   I could just lay and watch her all day in AMAZEMENT of what God has blessed our family with. I finally have her newborn photos (I just never had time to pick them up so Tiffany Newman (an AMAZING photographer) brought them to me at work, so here they are!

I am so lucky to have such an amazing little family.  As I sit here and think about the past 3 years, I can't believe all the wonderful moments we have shared.

As promised, when I got home last tonight I snapped several pictures of my sweet babies to share.  They aren't dressed up and they aren't the best photos BUT this is just a snapshot of our lives every night when Mommy and Daddy get home!  We love our family time!

WHY OH WHY???

Spending days with my babies is such a blessing!  I ask God everyday why ME??? 
Why do I have such a wonderful little family with so much LOVE? 
Why did he send Joe as my best friend and grant me the chance to love him EVERYDAY?
Why are both my babies just so PRECIOUS?
WHY ME?

I don't know the answer to so many questions but I know that I am THANKFUL! 

LATELY:
We are still working on the house diligently and I have promised myself that I will start taking more pictures to share with friends and family!  Here is one from my phone.  Halley is now sitting in her bumpo and has started really looking at everyone.  She is loving her Mommy for sure : )
