About Me

I met the love of my life in college and married him April 12, 2008. On January 15, 2010, God blessed us with an amazing son, Gunner Dauphin Dawn. His presence in our life was more wonderful than I could ever imagine, SOOO when God blessed us with Halley Marie Dawn just less than 13 months later, I knew we were in for a FUN RIDE. We now are celebrating our perfect little family of four everyday! This blog I hope helps me keep family and friends up to date on our extra busy lives!

And They're Off

Joe and I have been training hard to be able to run a 5K and guess what? WE DID IT! I am soon proud of us for reaching a goal together and getting fit to be better role models for our kids!

Lions, Tigers and Bears, OH and Fishies Everywhere

We recently took a family trip to Dallas area to spend some time away. We went with Seth, Kayla and Paisley and had so much fun!

Overall we decided Gunner loved the elephants the most and Halley loved the rhino! Halley just stared in amazement at the rhino as he ate his leaves for lunch! Maybe she was just wondering why he likes leaves but she thinks they are nasty ; )

We ended up enjoying the grapevine aquarium, rainforest cafe, and ft worth zoo.

I loved seeing the kids react to new surroundings and hotel life! We woke up Sunday morning and Gunner kept asking if it was church day so we woke up and had a song and worship session in bed. We all danced and sang. They were hilarious!

Big brothers are Awesome

Tonight we got to go over to see some great friends and have an awesome dinner but the best part was our friends announced their son will be a big brother! It is so amazing to see God blessing so many around is and Gunner and Halley are always excited about getting a new friend!

Here is the photo of all the babies so far! Congrats to the Thompsons and we can't wait to share in the journey!

The Truth Is

Well, the truth is I am a BLOGGER STALKER and a terrible BLOGGER!  I want to be a good blogger and let the world know all about my kids ALL THE TIME, but I get so caught up in my day to day chores and always FAIL at keeping up.

So for now, we will just do our best and I will continue to post when I get a moment in this crazy thing called life.

Recently, the kids had pictures made with Christi Hoyt....She did an AMAZING job and I LOVE them.  I can't wait to get them printed and put up all over the house.  I hope to have some family photos done before Christmas, but of course I am terrible at getting pics done as well so we will see???  Here are the PRECIOUS photos!

Bass master Classic

Gunner, Halley and I decided to meet Gammy and Papa at the Bassmaster Classic. I looked in the back seat on the way there and I found Halley bowless with her headband down...shoe free....stretching...she is such a goober.

Gunner had a blast at the actual event.

Afterwards we met Ninny and Papa and ended up at Lowes with Ninny pushing the kids in the car buggy. I don't know who had the most fun....Ninny or the kids!

Away from Sickness at the park

Well recently Halley got pneumonia and rsv, which made for a rough week. We all hate seeing baby sister not feeling well. Gunner and Mommy decided to take a break at the park and spend some time just the two of us.

I Love You JESUS!!!

Gunner has started to say his prayer.  We say it in sections, and he repeats.  We were practicing last night and I just HAD to get it on video!  Some party I think he got ahead of me but overall I think he did GREAT!  I love this sweet boy and I thank God daily for giving Joe and me the opportunity to bring him up in a Godly home with a loving family.

CATCH UP TIME!!!!

WELL....I am TERRIBLE at this blog thing, but I want to be better.  I decided to place the camer on the bar beginning TONIGHT so that I will have a camera right there at my fingertips anytime there is a cute moment to catch.  I love to admit that there are ALOT of CUTE moments in our home each and everyday.  I have place a few pictures here for everyone to just see what has been going on!

For Christmas, Daddy, oh I mean Gunner, got a hunting game and I believe we have forever created a little HUNTER.  Which, with a name like Gunner, you have to fit the name, right?

No mommy, I wasn't doing anything bad!

We now somehow have the sweetest little two year old that I know, so of course in Hay Family Tradition, we had smiley face pancakes.

Gunner LOVES that he can draw on his lap pad and Mommy loves that the markers won't draw on ANYTHING except the magic paper.

With the beautiful weather the babies decided that an outdoor picnic would be appropriate.  Four wheeler riding, trampoline jumping, mac-n-cheese...what else could our babies want?

FITNESS FUN DAY at school.  I heard that Halley slept through the workout, but hey atleast she was a cutie.  Gunner dressed up as well, but he didn't really feel like taking a picture that morning.

Sundays after church are tiresome.  We actually took this picture before we even got off the church road, which isn't a very long drive at all.

A FEW MILESTONES:
  • Gunner has turned 2
  • Halley is working on taking a few steps and we told her no first birthday unless she walks : )
  • Gunner has started saying his prayers at night with us.  He repeats the last word of each section we pray.
  • Halley is now saying mama, dada, byebye, no, and yeah
  • Gunner LOVES to tell Haley that it is time to go play.  He says, "Come on HAOLLEY (he has a precious way of saying her name), Mama says go play!"
  • Halley loves to give kisses now and has finally decided that mommy can rock her to sleep every once in a while.
  • Gunner loves to drive his 4 wheeler all around the yard.  He even steers.  Sometimes he only goes in circles but he is getting the hang of it.
  • Halley has decided that she LOVES food.  Anything you give that girl, she will EAT it up.
Well, now that I have commited to taking pictures, maybe I will be more apt to post something so check back soon!
